I thought it was about time to add another little pattern to my Halloween collection, so here is Goo the Ghost.

UK Crochet terms – 2cm tall
You will need
- DK cotton yarn in white and black (I’ve used Ricorumi) /
- 2.5mm hook
- toy filling
- pair of 8mm safety eyes
- embroidery needle
- stitch marker
Abbreviations
R Round
ch Chain
dc Double crochet
tr Treble crochet
dc2tog Decrease
st (sts) Stitch(es)
sk Skip (next st)
BASE
R 1 Make a magic ring in white, 6dc into ring. Pull ring tight. (6sts)
R 2 2dc in each st around. (12sts)
R 3 (2dc in next st, 1dc) 6 times. (18sts)
R 4 (2dc in next st, 2dc) 6 times. (24sts)
R 5 (2dc in next st, 3dc) 6 times. (30sts)
Fasten off.
BODY
R 1 Make a magic ring in white, 6dc into ring. Pull ring tight. (6sts)
R 2 2dc in each st around. (12sts)
R 3 (2dc in next st, 1dc) 6 times. (18sts)
R 4 (2dc in next st, 2dc) 6 times. (24sts)
R 5 (2dc in next st, 3dc) 6 times. (30sts)
R 6-15 dc in each st around. (30sts)
Do not fasten off, secure work with a stitch marker. Insert eyes between round 9-10 and about 6sts apart. Sew a little mouth with black yarn. Stuff. Place the loop on the stitch marker back onto your hook and continue below.
JOINING BODY AND BASE
R 16 Working in the body and the base at the same time (2dc in next st, 14dc) 2 times. (32sts)
R 17 (sk next st, 5tr into next st, sk next st, sl st) 8 times.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
