A handy guide for your non-crocheter friends
Have you ever been crocheting and counting your stitches when someone rudely wanders in and asks you some random question making you loose your count? They just don’t get it do they? Well, I’ve created a handy guide on the best times to ask their question. Feel free to share / print and give to your partner/friend/kids etc. Click to zoom in.

I hope you like my handy guide and covers every possible instant imaginable. But, joking aside, we all know counting stitches is a very serious business! With amigurumi it’s not that bad as the rounds are short, but I recently made a cardigan and the rows were a lot longer. For these projects I use this great app called called ‘crochet and knit counter’. It’s a great as it lets you count stitches, stitch repeats or rows for multiple of projects. I use it to count stitches if there are over 100 in one row (for some reason my brains gets confused around 78,79 & 80). I count ten stitches then I tap the screen so it displays ‘1’. Then count another 10 and tap so it says ‘2’ and so on. Every tap/number on the app equates to 10. It’s a lot easier this way. Or maybe I should just learn to count to 100 someday.
