Today i”m excited to reveal what I’ve been working on for the last couple of weeks. Introducing ‘The Egg’. This was a rather last minute idea which I wasn’t sure I was going to be able to publish before Easter. But I tentatively showed it to my (most awesome) pattern testers and they took on the challenge with enthusiasm and had it finished before I ate all the chocolate egg props.
This Egg (‘The Egg’) is a unique item which not only looks great as an object, but also has a function – to store your yummy chocolate. The lid comes off to reveal a space to store treats.
The 13 page pattern details all the stitches and techniques you will need to make this egg. Even though it looks complicated, once you get the hang on the stitches it is pretty straight forward.
The pattern is available in both US and UK terms. I have uploaded video tutorials of all the non-basic stitches. You will find these on my Instagram reels.
The stitches and techniques you will learn include:
The Bobble Stitch
The Spike Stitch
Surface Crochet
Changing Colour
The Magic Ring
Simple embroidery
The Shell Stitch
COMING SOON – video tutorials will be uploaded to the page when ready (they are on my Instagram reels now).
